Web276

Band Central for Web -- Build 276

June 30, 2026

A set of lyric editor and viewer improvements. First, the editor and its live preview now stay lined up as you scroll, even though the two sides are laid out differently (section labels, choruses, and chords take up different amounts of room). The line you are working on in the editor now matches the same spot in the preview, instead of the two slowly drifting apart down a long song. Second, a new link button in the editor toolbar lets you unlock the two sides so you can scroll each on its own; they still scroll together by default. Third, a new text-size control (A- and A+, with the percentage in the middle to reset) is now on BOTH the ChordPro editor and the view lyrics page, so you can make the whole thing bigger or smaller to fit your screen. Your choice is remembered on each page. Fourth, fixed chord diagrams sometimes showing as empty boxes the first time you opened a lyric (you had to leave and come back for them to draw); they now render on the first view. Fifth, fixed the cursor and text selection landing about one character off from where you clicked while editing: the editor now uses a fixed-width font so chords line up over lyrics, and it reserves room for the scrollbar so the text no longer shifts when a song gets long.
