iOS2.1.1

Band Central for iOS 2.1.1

May 2026

Band Central for iPhone and iPad 2.1.1 is now on the App Store. This is the matching iOS cut of the Android 2.1.1 work — same focus on faster catalog navigation, restored Bluetooth pedal behavior, and a handful of long-standing rendering fixes. Here's everything that's in it.

New

  • A-Z alphabet scroller on Songs. Drag the letter rail on the right of the Songs view to jump straight to any song or artist. The rail adapts to the sort order you've picked.
  • 9-field Sort By menu on Songs. Sort by Name, Artist, Genre, Tempo, Key, Song Length, Notes, Other, or Last Edit — with ascending / descending toggle on each.
  • Swipe between songs from the Songs list and the Lyrics list. Open a song from either list and swipe sideways to flip through the surrounding songs without backing out — same as the in-setlist behavior.

Improvements

  • Setlist sort menu matches the editor. The Setlist list now offers "Gig Date" (matching the field name in the editor) instead of the older "Date" label.

Fixes

  • Greek lyrics render correctly on iPad. Lyrics with Greek characters were occasionally not displaying at all on iPad — fixed.
  • Bluetooth pedal navigation restored. Previous/next bar and scroll actions on Bluetooth pedals work again. (A small set of pedal models needed an additional follow-up — if you're still seeing pedal issues, please send the model and the action that's not working.)

How to get it

Open the App Store, search for Band Central, and tap Update. If the new version isn't visible yet, give it a few hours to roll out across regions.

Coming next

The native lyric renderer (Format Lyrics V2, per-segment highlight, native ChordPro rendering, and tap-to-edit routing) is the focus of the next release on both iOS and Android. PDF annotations and a 30-day soft-delete with a Trash bin are queued behind that.
