Getting Started

Band Central is a song and setlist app for bands, worship teams, and gigging musicians, with real-time cloud sync across iPhone, iPad, Android, and the website. This guide gets you from zero to your first band.

What devices are supported?

Band Central runs on iOS 16 or later (iPhone 8 and newer, iPad 5th generation and newer), Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or later, and in any modern browser at www.bandcentral.com (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge). On Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, or Linux the website is your full-featured option, since there is no native desktop app. Everything syncs across every device you sign in on.

Create your account

Open Band Central and sign in once — your account is created automatically the first time. You can sign in with Google or Email everywhere, plus Sign in with Apple in the iOS app. Your email address is your account: signing in with any of those methods using the same address (for example banduser@gmail.com) always reaches the same account, so you never end up with duplicates.

What if I forget my password?

If you signed up with Email, tap or click Forgot Password on the email sign-in screen to get a reset link. If you use Sign in with Google (or Apple), there is no separate Band Central password — your sign-in is managed by Google or Apple.

How bands work

A band is a shared workspace. Everyone in the band sees the same songs, lyrics, and setlists, and changes sync to all members automatically. The person who creates the band is the owner and is the only one who can add or remove members and hold the subscription that covers everyone. After signing in, create a band (or join one) to start adding songs and setlists.

Add or remove band members

Only the band owner can change members. Open the Bands page, open the band, and edit its members. The person must already have a Band Central account — have them sign in once to create it, then search for them by email and add them. There is no pending-invite step yet, so accounts are created first, then added. On Android, tapping Add User commits immediately (there is no separate Save for the member list).

Do I need to pay?

No. Every feature is available on every plan, including Free — a subscription only raises the limits on how many bands, members, songs, and setlists you can have, and only the band owner ever subscribes. See Plans & Subscriptions for the details.
