Audio Player
Attach a reference track, backing track, or click guide to a song and play it right from the lyric view in the iOS and Android apps.
Attach audio to a song
Edit the song and choose Add Audio. You can pick a file from your device or from Dropbox. Supported formats include MP3, M4A, WAV, and AIFF.
Play the track
Open a song that has audio attached and tap play; you get play/pause, a seek slider, and lock-screen controls. You can also start audio from the play button, a double-tap on the lyrics, or a foot pedal — in Configure Play Button, set Also Start to Audio (audio and the metronome are mutually exclusive, so starting one stops the other).
Compact or full player
In the Audio settings, Compact Audio Player controls how the player looks: compact mode shows a small circular indicator, and turning it off shows a full-width scrubber bar along the bottom of the screen. (The compact/full display option is on iPhone and iPad.)
Automatic playback options
Also in the Audio settings, you can turn on:
- Play audio when the next song is selected — the track starts automatically as you move to the next song.
- Go to the next song when audio finishes — advance to the next song the moment the track ends.
- Stop audio when exiting the song — stop playback when you leave the song.
On the web
Attached audio plays in the iOS and Android apps; the website does not play attached audio yet.
