Tags
Tags are a flexible way to group your songs — by genre, mood, set, or anything else — so you can pull up exactly the songs you need.
Create and assign tags
Open Tags and tap + to make a tag like "Rock," "Acoustic," "Set 1," or "Learn." Assign tags when you edit a song.
Filter by tag
On the Songs list, tap the filter icon and pick one or more tags to show only those songs — handy for pulling up a genre, a mood, or songs you are still learning. On desktop, multi-select shows a checkbox next to each tag so you can combine tags. Clear the filter to see your whole catalog again.
Ways bands use tags
A few patterns that work well:
- By feel or genre — "Rock," "Acoustic," "Ballad" — to build a set with the right pacing.
- By set or gig — "Set 1," "Wedding," "Country night."
- By status — "Learn," "Rehearse," "Retired" — so you can filter to just the songs the band still needs to work up.
